    Mittelstand and the Circular Economy

Policy makers are seeking to promote the circular economy in Germany and across Europe in order to reduce dependence on exports of raw materials and intermediate products. In their article Dr Michael Rothgang and Dr Jochen Dehio (RWI-Leibniz Institute for Economic Research) highlight both the opportunities and the current challenges facing Mittelstand enterprises.

The article “Regulations in the Circular Economy: How Can Environmental Protection Be Promoted While Simultaneously Strengthening Small and Medium-Sized Businesses?” has been published as part of the policy brief series “Focus on Entrepreneurship” by FGF and IfM Bonn.
