As part of the G-Forum 2025 in Stuttgart, the FGF published, for the first time, the abstracts of the submitted contributions as conference proceedings in the FGF publication series (FGF-Schriftenreihe, ISSN 3051-9292).
The publication of conference proceedings is also planned for the G-Forum 2026 in Cottbus.
The series includes abstracts of submission types, i.e., of full papers, of standalone abstracts, of poster sessions, and of practice papers. When submitting via the conference tool, you will be informed about this publication and can indicate your consent or refusal.
Further Information:
- Language: Abstracts will now only be included in the conference proceedings in English. If you have written a German-language paper, we ask that you provide an English translation of the abstract (including the title) of your paper. If you do not wish to have your paper published in the conference proceedings, you may, of course, leave the abstract in German.
- Uploading the abstract for the conference proceedings: The text that you enter in the “Abstract” field in ConfTool will be used for the conference proceedings.
- Formats and length of the abstract: Short abstracts (without references) of up to 1,000 words and extended abstracts (with references) of up to 2,500 words will be accepted. Illustrations cannot be included. You can decide for yourself whether you would like to publish a short or extended abstract of your contribution.
- Abstract title: It is not possible to change the title of your abstract after submission. Please take this into account when submitting your abstract in ConfTool if you plan to publish your contribution in a journal.
- Note on review: Only full paper submissions will receive a developmental review as part of the selection process, unlike the other types of contributions. In the conference proceedings, the review by the G-Forum review board will be indicated by a note on the abstracts of the full papers.
- Subsequent changes: Changes to abstracts that have already been submitted after the submission deadline are only possible for a short period after the review phase by the G-Forum review board has been completed and before the G-Forum. To this end, all authors who have agreed to the publication of their abstracts in the Conference proceedings will be informed by email that changes can be made in ConfTool within one week in order to incorporate feedback from the reviewers at short notice.
- Publication: Shortly after the G-Forum, in the same year and without consulting the authors, the conference proceedings will be published with the existing ISSN 3051-9292 and a new consecutive ISBN.
