  • New issue (7/2025) of the FGF/IfM Bonn Policy Brief titled “Local Entrepreneurship Helps Places Bounce Back After Extreme Weather Shocks” has been published

    10. November 2025

Investments in infrastructure and insurance help to mitigate the negative consequences of extreme weather events. Equally important is strengthening the composition and vitality of regional economies, according to research by Christian Heinzel (University of Mannheim), Ass.Prof Dr Scott Langford (University of Texas), Dr Vinzenz Peters and Prof Dr Mark Sanders (University of Maastricht). This also contributes significantly to the economic resilience of a region.

The article “Local Entrepreneurship Helps Places Bounce Back After Extreme Weather Shocks” has been published in the Policy Brief series by the FGF Research Network Entrepreneurship, Innovation and SMEs and IfM Bonn.
